1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use OurPaperVoices:

  • Account information: Email address and profile data provided through our authentication provider.
  • Voice recordings: Audio samples you record for voice cloning purposes.
  • Payment information: Billing details processed through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, audio generation history, and timestamps.

2. Voice Data & Biometric Information

Your voice recordings are processed by Fish Audio to create a digital voiceprint (voice clone). We treat voice recordings and voiceprints as biometric data in compliance with the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI).

Specifically:

  • We collect voice data only with your explicit, informed consent.
  • Voice data is used solely for generating AI-narrated audio of the Urantia Papers.
  • We do not sell, lease, or otherwise disclose your voice data to third parties except as required for voice cloning processing (Fish Audio).
  • An immutable consent record is stored for every voice clone creation, including timestamp, consent version, and IP address.
  • All voice data operations are recorded in our audit log.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Voice cloning: Processing your voice sample to create a digital voice clone.
  • Audio generation: Using your voice clone to narrate selected Urantia Papers.
  • Billing: Processing payments and maintaining transaction records.
  • Notifications: Sending you emails about generation status and account updates.
  • Service improvement: Analyzing usage patterns to improve the product experience.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party services as necessary to operate OurPaperVoices:

  • Fish Audio — Voice cloning and text-to-speech processing. Receives your voice recordings and text for narration.
  • Stripe — Payment processing. Receives billing and payment information.
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery. Receives your email address.
  • Cloudflare R2 — File storage for voice samples, previews, and generated audio.
  • Supabase — Database hosting and authentication infrastructure.

5. Data Retention & Destruction

We retain different types of data for different periods:

  • Voice data: Retained while your account is active and you have not revoked consent. Permanently destroyed within 30 days of deletion request, consent revocation, or 1 year of account inactivity.
  • Generated audio: Stored indefinitely while your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion.
  • Payment records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
  • Consent records: Retained permanently as immutable audit evidence.
  • Audit logs: Retained permanently for compliance purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete your voice clone at any time through the Record page.
  • Revoke consent for voice data processing at any time.
  • Request data export of your personal information.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted storage for voice samples and generated audio.
  • Presigned URLs with expiration for secure file access.
  • Comprehensive audit logging of all voice data operations.
  • Secure authentication via OAuth and JWT tokens.

8. Children

OurPaperVoices is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
